The management and staff of Smile Mini Marts recently donated $2,500 to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals, a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare services to children in Cambodia. The donation is intended to support the hospital’s efforts to provide quality healthcare to thousands of children each year. General Director of Kantha Bopha Hospital, Dr Denis Laurent received the donation on behalf of the foundation.
Before choosing Kantha Bopha hospital, Smile’s management canvassed all their employees to get suggestions on which charity to support. Overwhelming the staff chose to support Kantha Bopha because they provide critical healthcare to those in need that would not be able to afford it otherwise
Mr. Sambath a supervisor assistant at one of the stores, expressed his support at being able to give back to the community through this donation. He stated that Smile Minimart is always looking for ways to contribute positively to society and make a difference in people’s lives. The company hopes that its contribution will inspire others to do the same and support worthy causes that benefit those in need.
Smile’s donation is a testament to their employee’s commitment to social responsibility and the company’s determination to make a meaningful contribution to the communities in which it operates. With this support, the Kantha Bopha Hospital will be able to do more of its vital work providing quality healthcare to children in need.
